East Lancashire Hospice

Not every protest will target the owners, some are organised for simply the media attention, some for a particular grievance over a current situation and more recently in our case; simply to make a difference in the local community as VenkysOut.com tried to do with the East Lancashire Hospice (September 2016).

As many local residents will know especially in this day in age, the hospice currently appeals for donations throughout a continuing period of time. As some of you may have known through relatives whom may have stayed here, the hospice boasts of exceptional members of staff whom provide end-of-life care for patients and their families from Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley and remain key to many patients in the area.

The “protest” against Venkys included a themed “Get Rid for Two Quid” fundraising opportunity against the football club’s owners and the ever growing financial battle facilities such as the East Lancashire hospice currently face.

A month long appeal yielded a sum of £2,604.00 evidencing a positive form of unity to address and highlight the current plight of Venky’s and the current ownership of Blackburn Rovers in which can only be concluded as providing a humble but positive difference to the local area in aid of two very good causes.

VenkysOut.com hope to be able to raise more monies in the near future for this particular charity whilst private donations can be made here > https://eastlancshospice.org.uk/make-a-donation
